I've been racing at Lydd for a number of years and I love the track, but the access road is awful and we keep getting told it will be done. Stop talking and just do it, we are all fed up with the situation, and it is because of that road and the paddocks that people don't come and race.
I know it's a big job, but you knew that before you bought the place, you should have the money for it in the budget. It's not a new problem, and it's not something you can't notice it must have been mentioned in the business plan under the "For immediate action" section? Jasper is right, if people do turn up they will only do it once. If you spend a lot of money and time to go out for a meal and the foods good but the resturant is falling apart and you have to be in the SAS to get to the door, would you go back later because they where saving up to get a new path installed and the walls fixed? no and you'd tell all your friends not to go as well.
Don't get me wrong I love the track, the people, the atmosphere, but I'm fed up of no one doing anything with the place and not spending the money that the place needs.
That is way no one races as Lydd, because they have to drive past Rye House and Buckmore to get to the place and they don't have any of the issues that Lydd Does.
