Alan, you miss the point. There was no indication that Honda's were to be treated differently from the TKM classes when the voyting slips were sent out. Had this been clearly communicated then there may have been a difference in the way people voted.
I know you have a difficult task balancing the wishes of the competitors with those of the organisers and the TV people but the point that most people are making is that information is being drip fed as time goes on - especially this issue as it seems that it was a done deal at day one of the TV negotiations that Honda's would be one programme after the series has finished.
You have to bear in mind that for the kids (especially those who are moving from Junior school to Senior school), the part of the TV deal that is probably important for them is that they could "discuss" it with their mates at school. Now it will be shown in Sep/Oct when they have left their group of school friends.
We, the competitors, are entering into a contract with S1 and the fact that certain issues are not disclosed when we are being asked to declare our intent is not really acceptable. If this was a contract between two companies and information of this signicance was not disclosed the lawyers would have a field day.
Please be assured that it's not an issue with the people involved with running the series its more about communication process.
And I know it's probably a mute point due to the lack of J4/ but lets hope lessons are learnt for next year.
