I am wondering if there is a 'budget' way to measure the weight distribution with one set of scales, If I raise one end to the height of the scales then measure it then weigh the other and raise the other to the height surely this would give me the same as having two sets of scales.

I take it I would then just add the total of each to give you the weight and then you'd know the % of each from their values, does this seem right?
