I have a yz250 gearbox kart, and i think the coil might not be working?

Is there a test i can do to check if it is the coil or magneto.

The coil/magneto has been upgraded to a motoplat red one.
If this helps there are also 2 wires coming from the coil.

Any help would be appreciated i just dont know where to start really
