My Rotax has oil coming out the exhaust/eng joint when its running too rich. Dont worry too much about it at the moment.

I dont know how big the track is you were running on, but the engine needs to be on full throttle long enough to clear itself and then get going. The last time I ran my engine in it conked out because it wasn't getting up to high revs.

Do you know what temp your engine was running at.

At least now that you have it running, try and get along to a track where there are other rotax drivers and see how it goes then. I am sure there will always be someone who will help.
