I have been reading the various posts about the price increase for S1 rounds and correct me if I am wrong but its only an increase of Ł420 over a full year, an extra Ł8 a week, is this really going to keep people from entering the championship. If you just miss one club meeting thats the extra covered or race with a white helmet(the helmet one is in for the guy who posts on here and always complains about helmets)

Playing devils advocate abit, so here are a few statements make of them what you will.

S1 should really be for the top drivers with a sensible budget to compete. those with a view to making a career out of there skills.

Club meetings are the place for drivers with a smaller budget and maybe not the same level of talent who are just in it for fun or practice.

Should there be a privateer class in S1 much the same as touring cars so the driver who can get a budget together for S1, but can't afford team prices is able to race for privateer honours.(I know there is a rookie class not the same thing really)

Would it be fair if to enter S1 you needed to have finished in say the top 6 at a club level championship.

Oh well please don't take offence at any of the above statements.
