My son competes in the junior TKM class. Towards the end of the season all his fellow competitors (friends) they were all talking about what are your plans are for the coming year all saying that they would all like to compete with the top drivers in the S1 championship, but some of the lads didn’t think they could afford to do it, this would have been at last years prices. We have only ever raced at club level, so we were so looking forward to competing in the S1 championship. We were going to race with a team, which would have helped us to compete to the best of our ability.
After reading all the messages regarding the S1 Championship we now find that the registration fees and the race entrance fees have all increased as well as having to purchase a camera which is to be fitted to the kart another cost.
I know the numbers for last years entry’s were not great, why was this, could it be that the prices were to high, if the prices were lower I am sure that the entrance numbers would be higher so there would be more money in the fund.
Most lads and young ladies would love to race in the S1 championship, but now I think they have over cooked it.
To rectify this problem the answer is to have a ballet on here so that the S1 organisers can see who would register for this year’s championship at last years prices as we all know that we are in recession with companies holding the prices, and given no wage increases at all.
All stand up and be counted at the end of the day this is for us `The Karters`
Lets get it sorted.
