A damaged blunt nose fairing will, by geometry, lose part or all of its structural integrity and as such be deformed or easily deformed from a blunt face towards being a ramp shape.

Here the MSA in their report has indrectly confirmed that there is an increased RISK.

Since the ZIP fairing is already ramp shaped, the MSA has confirmed through its own report that the ZIP fairing increases risk, and they have been aware of it for several months.

The MSA's competance to self regulate on safety matters must surely be questioned. I accept that the MSA has good intent to improve safety both on and off the track for all participants ans spectators, but in relation to this nose fairing issue they are trying themselves up in knots.
