Fergy,
there are a couple in Lincs you could try for club racing: Tattershall and Strubby. Tat is on the first Sunday in the month and I think Strubby is on the third Sunday but both have practice on the Saturdays before the race. I live in Nottingham (is there anywhere else?) and it takes me just over an hour to get to Tat and about an hour and a half to Strubby. FYI, Strubby is actually at a village called Woodthorpe near to Alford if you want to find it on a map.
Both clubs are very friendly and helpful and I believe both run Prokarts.
