thing is if you were a new starter to karting would you want to pay out 3k for a new chassis while you learn the ropes or £1500, would you rather learn how to drive on a worn out old chassis with expensive spares or a new one with reasonably priced spares.

I would never run a tony kart or its derivatives soley because of the cost of the parts.

If the storm costs £1500 new then its second hand value will be cheaper in theory than the brand name chassis so they will continue to make a cheap entry point for karters to learn the ropes.

Just out of interest how does the cost of reframing a storm line up with the cost of reframing say the current tony kart?

I've had cheap chassis in the past that were awful but I have also driven big brand ones which are just as bad I'm significantly quicker on an old top kart viper than I am on my newer top kart evo so different karts for differnt people just because it costs lots doesn't make it quick it may be easier to set up and more consistent but there are many variables if you are in karting to be up front then you have to inevitably spend money but if your in it for fun or racing on a budget then the storm makes sense
