The "Easi-bleed" works on the same principle as Russell descibes above. Either way you need to get hold of a spare cap to drill a hole in it though.
From experience you only need about 5-10psi to sucessfully push out the air. It also helps if the rear of the kart is raised above the level of the reservoir so as to help any air bubbles rise naturally in the system towards the bleed nipples in the caliper.
A short length (say 300mm) of 6mm bore tubing connected to the bleed nipple should be used to catch any excess fluid in a jam jar that is expelled from the system.
