i assume this change has been introduced to reduve the weight of the helmets on the cadet and jnr drivers...to prevent neck injuries in the event of an accident. Surely if this is the case it would have been sensible to have tested the efficiency of neck braces first.

we have 2 snell2005 helmets for my son, both less than 2 years old, well looked after legal to use as long as you are not a cadet...

we should all be permitted to use our snell2205 helmets until such times they become damaged or are out of date, then replace them with CMR spec helmets. as long as the helmet has passed MSA scrutineers checks.
