Hi all, my first post and new to Karting so please excuse my ignorance.

We are looking to buy my son his first kart and were wondering about chassis homologation. After reading the MSA handbook and reading the appendix regarding chassis homologation, I am under the impression that if I purchased a chassis which is listed under the 2001 homologation list, it would not be eligible for racing in 2010.

Could anyone clarify this for me, as I have been offered a practically new 2001/2 outfit but if I have interpreted the book correctly it will be no use for racing after 2009.
