Ian,
I must be turning into a karting nerd as i have now opened my Gold book (know it off by geart really!!).
A1.3.1 syas "The only additions permitted, along with modifications solely concerned with their fitment are: Seats, nassau Panels, Front Fairing and ballast to achieve the required weight.or for repair purposes. Any non-homologated part, except as stated above, may not be added.
then A1.3.6 Front Fairing Must conform to MSA year book regulation with a centrally located vertical surface, minimum of 250mm x 70mm, or be an approved design specifically permitted.
From this I would say that you can fit any nose cone to any cadet kart with the necessary metal work to hold it. So any Zip driver could get rid of the shovel plus all the rest of us could fit it and join in the action!
I may be wrong but that is how I read it.
Seems the same for side pods and bumpers as A1.3.5 just says they must conform to MSA year book regulations.
Think I will ask the scruts at Rissington this weekend to interpret!
Richard
