My grandma used to make the stuff you are looking for.

'Slow Gin' she called it because if one glass didn't slow you up, by the second you couldn't move at all. And no, it didn't have much in common with sloes.

But then in her youth she had partied at Cliveden, where the salts contained cocaine and no-one was so gauche as to snort it, so her standards were 'old school'.
