But do you know all the facts - when did it come off? Before the falg or after? Was it spotted by any of the officials? I would very much doubt that they carry a list of protrain drivers just so they can avoid reporting mechanical issues.
If this offence was so obvious and clear cut the Mr Cosgrove could easily have found other paernts to witness the offence and put in a protest. Even if CoC does nothing it can go to appeal to the MSA steward or higher still. With witnesses it would be hard to ignore the offence.
Much easier though to come on a forum to make accusations than actually stand up at the time and get it sorted.
I know Steve Chapman can be quite abrupt at times but as with most tracks they have to put up with a lot. I have seen people taken off the grid because there are too many for one session (track licence/insurance) only to try and sneak back on as soon as the grid marshal turns round.
Can't comment on the way steve spoke to the guy you mention as I was not there but replying with a suggestion that Steve would act differently for anyone with a Gillard chassis is getting abusive.
