we raced for the first time in juniors at this club, wow is all i can say. We were shouted at for taking our time coming into the parc ferme through the tyre chicane which slows you down because there were drivers in front of us so we had nowhere to go :-(
then we were told to go into the scrutineering place, then told we could go so we did, the as we exited the gate a scrutineer called john shouted at us that we shouldnt leave without permission even though the other scrut (dick) said we could (dic appologised afterwards saying he thought we could go but didnt realise john wanted to see us)
we got black flagged in the final then they appologised and said it was number 19 they wanted and said sorry to us and that they got it wrong.
the drivers briefing was bombastic at best, dictitorial and hurtful at worse stating 20 mph will be adhered to across the start line and if the leader is not travelling at that speed then he/she will be hung, drawn and quartered Lol (joking) but you get the idea.
we wont be going back to race at whilton mill, unfriendly, bombastic, loud mouthed (i even helped with some pf tape and helped erect the fencing for the drive through ), it seems if your not on a red kart with a grey chassis you dont stand a chance ;-) i witnessed a top driver getting spoken too like poo by the coc several times and him talking to his dad equally the same ? oh and initially some cadets were excluded in the final because there was MINOR movement of their seat, well done john, times are so good we can upset the customer and send them home intears.
