Make sure the tank is empty, otherwise the fuel will syphon down through the pulse pump and carburetor and end up in the crankcase.

If you are leaning it on its side, have the left side of the kart on the floor to prevent the gear oil filling up the balance shaft chamber.

Keep the battery charged regularly.
