At the weekend again, there was a few major incidents regarding junior blue drivers! The ambulance was out 4 times over the course of the Sunday!
As far as I can see, and I am not involved in this class, is that the engine is far too fast to be used with the tyres that are rqd! The amount of grip that the tyres give is unbelievable, it's nearly jusy a case of accelarate as fast as possible and turn the steering wheel when rqd!
To many novices just turn up after a few days practicing and can nearly keep up with the fastest drivers, too many drivers are going for gaps that they wouldn't be able to take with any other class, mainly because they know that the tyres will grip up and let them make the corner!
This is what is causing the accidents in my view, all the drivers in the class can be within .1 or .2 of each other each lap, then they go for silly overtaking moves!
Just wondering if any other tracks running junior blues have the same problem as my track! Don't get me wrong, there are drivers who are extremely skillful and I am no way taking away the skill from any driver who can race karts at any level! I feel that the change of tyres would improve the racecraft of the drivers!!
