Back in the late 70's I think this sort of thing was the introduction to karting for anyone not tall enough to drive an adult kart. I've got something similar and it's fitted with a little ariel 50cc engine. I think these Dale karts probably had 4 stroke engines on them when new.
The guy who had the one at Shenington had a magazine advert about it, think it was actually called a Cadet kart.
