Problems with existing clutch, 1)cheating with grease or other lubrication, 2)nylon bush is not fit for purpose on the new clutch, as it allows the drum to move too much. 3)during some rotax enjurance meetings, the roller bearing has friction welded to crankshaft, as scrapped it. The material of the bush as i said berrilium copper, or phoshor bronze is self lubricating, and cannot weld to crankshaft. I discussed it at lenght with the rotax technical director at the last euro meeing in Italy. He was very much in favour of the idea. And yes John i did complain to john Hoyle whilst he was trying to get us to sign the Unipro pertition. The S1 tyres are the luck of the draw, we unfortunatly drew a crap set on 2 occasions. Luck of the draw is in my opinion not the way to race in a national championship.
