I am starting with everything loose after fitting bearings to carriers - I bolt the carriers tight to the chassis then centre the axle before tightening the collars and then just nipping the pinch bolts on the carriers.

Does that sound about right?

I use bearing lube after every bit of track time and keep them all clean and replace once I can feel the wear.

I still cannot get my axle to rotate as nicely as Chris K's, lol.
