There were 30 Senior TKMs at the first Whilton round I attended, and 25 at the last one (which clashed with an S1 round). There were 5 novices including myself, which says to me that the class is appealing to new drivers in its current state.

Maybe allowing CIK chassis might move a few drivers from Rotax to TKM. So what? This doesn't benefit the sport as a whole, it just moves people around. We need to make sure TKM stays appealing to complete newcomers (like myself), otherwise there is no longer a decent entry point.

I got into TKM because it's cheap, simple, and even older kit can be competitive (since it hasn't really changed in forever). All of the proposed rules move the class away from what I got into it for.
