Dont forget the current TKM chassis are developed for the hard maxxis tires. A CIK chassis is aimed at Rotax/KF rubber. So i cant see a CIK chassis actually being all that great on maxxis green rubber. Most of the people who run newer chassis in rotax wont go tkm anyway, as the driving style is too different and they can afford rotax. What it will do is get more people who buy Ebay kart chassis. to enter racing on a tight budget. At present its easier for them to buy a second hand rotax and race. as theres less restrictions. However its a complex engine and not cheap. so they would be better off entering TKM. But the whole homoligation scares them.
I saw the TAG TKMs at whilton and TBH i think its an attractive option. Obviously nothings cooler than bump starting properly. but it is a pain!
