Thanks for the tips.

Yes a 2.5mm spacer would be perfect, will call Zip North shortly as suggested.

FYI......

The threaded part of the axle is 16.5mm
The unthreaded part is 76mm

The nuts are M14 14mm high which I believe to be the smaller of the 2 sizes

The wheel (dry) is 54mm wide, most days have 15mm spaces on the inside leaving a gap of 7mm to the threaded part.
