Regarding the use of the front stub axle mounted laser alignment systems, do people generally set the kart up when it is on the trolley, or on the ground?

I have always set it up on the ground with someone in the kart to get it right for when on track - but i know lots of people do it on the trolley. Is this just the way they do it - or in fact the correct set up method?

(Obviously putting the kat on the ground verses having it in the air, you get a big toe in movement and increase in negative camber)
