When we used to drag race we had to drop pressures.

I completly agree with you statement

karts more pressure = more heat
race car less pressure = more heat

from my experiance karts work the opposite ways to cars even down to the geometry ie kart tires like positive camber and car tires like negative camber. this is probobly down to roll centers but is a good example.

we used to drop pressures down from 27 psi to 11 psi on the drag strip. this allowed the tire wall to flex and deform and give a good footprint on launch. howeva when the car was used on the road we were warned of a sevear risk of blow outs at high speed with very low pressures.

There are many hidden factors in the tire pressure debate tbh but im sure somebody would be willing to let you play with the tires on at the kart track and vice versa on a car track
