Thanks for your responses...

Should have stated that we use front hubs and that we measured the offset as the rear mounting surface to the edge of the rim.

Will take prokartman's advise and sell the front wheels that we measured as 65mm offset(Centred as advised by Urban Tiger).

Am I right in thinking that the wheels we measured as 50mm offset (rear mounting surface to rim edge) are actually 15mm offset wheels?
