"I have 'crossed white line' to STAY with the rest of the pack (and to LEAD them, if I get/got the chance!) who are ALSO cheating in the same way! The difference is that I K*N*O*W that it's CHEATING and would like to see it STAMPED OUT so that we ALL do NOT have to do it in FUTURE! Were I to be 'blackflagged' for it then, so long as all OTHER cheaters were identically punished, I would SUPPORT the CoC who BlackFlagged me and go up and THANK him for it!"
Your statement above sums up my position pretty well. I'll continue doing it until such time as I can't get away with it. I don't like bouncing over the kerbs, I'm starting to feel it the next day. However, I don't see how the rule can be successfully enforced. Clever drivers will soon spot the corners that aren't being watched.
"I am hapy to accept that point so long as you are CONSISTENT! I thus assume that you would NOT complain to the CoC about someone who overtook you or pulled AWAY from you, or closed UP 20 metres by doing EXACTLY the same thing (drivibng over the white lines) by cutting the bus stop at Kimbolton......."
Wrong. I'm fairly confident I could protest someone who missed an entire bus stop and win. I doubt I could protest someone who jumped the kerb at pylon and win even though, as you state, the crime is no different.
What I would find interesting is if someone did protest the entire field for kerb hopping. The rules are quite clear; would the MSA have any optiom but to disqualify all those protested?
