I know that you have given yourself the choice of Rotax or TKM, but it might be useful to consider Formula Blue at the same time.
Since you have been to Forest you might be worried about the small grids that have been there at the end of the year, although the 16 at Clay in November was more what one would hope for.
There are also the Series races leading up to the NKRA Grand Final (end of August) so you get exposure to a larger grid (normally between 15 to 25) and different tracks (Forest/Clay/Rye and there are moves to revive the Dunks grid)and a National Championship if you enter the NKRA. (£40)
The costs of FB are similar to TKM and you certainly don't need to spend anything like what some people do on the tyres in Rotax.
And you can keep your rotax chassis and probably get a Blue engine on the proceeds from the Max. (Ron at Tabor is doing great deals or so they tell me).
As for competition, you may well have the National Champion (Jamie Crease) and the Number 4 (Chris Derrick) to measure yourself against next year at FE.
So, just a thought.
