YES!!
I have done things backwards and come from car racing into karting.

Karting definitely has more of the following:

1. "highly strung" parents
2. "highly strung" kids
3. pure bull***t (normally focusing on engines)
4. contact.....toooo much of it.

Alot of the problems in karting are related to the age and therefore the immaturity of the drivers. Of course this cannot be fixed as karting is provided primarily for young drivers.

The biggest problem the clerks have at races is the age old problem of not having eyes in the back of their heads and a growing lack of observers. Other than CCTV (which of course is extremely expensive), there is not a great deal that can be done.

Bad behaviour however CAN be improved. Unfortunately some kids inherit their behaviour and are encouraged by their parents.

Shame really as the minority ruin things for the majority.
