Whilst Lewis is leading Massa by 5 seconds on the 8th lap the stewards suddenly start to investigate Lewis Hamilton,
To the astonishment to the British public he is given a stop and go penalty. The McLaren team are fuming. We see Hamilton stop at his pit, and instead of the the usual 10 second penalty Lewis starts to take off his helmet. And is quickly given a new one.
We find out later that Lewis did not have the correct msa sticker on his helmet and would not be allowed to race without one (i don’t know why they are worried by an msa sticker in brazil)
This leaves Hamilton in 12th. But with Hamilton’s grit he quickly barges (in a nice way) his way through the field and finds him self in 4th.
We see a slow Alonso running round the track, who was forced onto the grass whilst being overtaken by Hamilton earlier in the race, which resulted in a puncture.
Hamilton then laps Alonso on the last lap and suddenly Alonso start to pick up his pace again, and with a typical karting manoeuvre takes Lewis out on the last corner, but not good enough.
Lewis manages to get back on to track and manages to cross the finish line where he finishes 4th, but missing a front wheel
Not good for Ferrari, and the FIA start to panic as they can see they will not fulfil their part of the contract of getting a Ferrari driver to win the championship, but luckily for them Hamilton’s car is disqualified after weighing in due to being under weight.
Massa wins the championship.
