Errrr..... you obv do not know my history..... IKR events are only carried out today without threats by the MSA to remove MSA licenses from those who compete in IKR events because I spent tens of thousands back in the Motors TV days (Non MSA we called that then) on lawyers preventing them from doing so as a restriction of trade practice.... WPBSA v Steven Hendry was the case law BTW preventing them from actually carrying out their threat. £35,000 I spent..... so I think I have always been more invested in IKR than anyone, and most that know me know I have always been consistent in my opinion that an organisation actively seeking to put kids into cars at 14 years of age has a conflict of interest with our sport..... and continues to have that conflict. They are NOT a karting organisation..... they are a four wheeled motor sports body who see karting as the grass roots of motor sport only.... a starting point...... and as they have shown so far..... they think grass roots is British Championship level karting..... not club karting. As Iain Blair keeps pointing out..... he is still waiting to see their plan for club karting in the UK.....
Their new Karting Executive position is being advertised now..... Monday to Friday 9-5.30...... says it all really. I said I would do it based from home, but 7 days a week available on the phone from 9am-9pm, out at a karting event every weekend and EVERY British Championship round...... offer was declined...... "It is only Monday 9-5.30 and based in Slough". Oh well.
