Thanks for your comments....Just a few problems I see with this...
My idea is really designed to increase entry levels at IKR meetings, and by saying only one event per month can count, this actually would put people off looking at other events. I think the 15 event maximum rule (could maybe be 12 best scores?) would limit the impact of those doing more events. Someone doing 12/15 events on big grids, who also happens to be a very good driver, is still likely to beat someone who just does 30 events, some on small grids, who is not at the same level of ability. Also, my idea to run a one weekend event for the top 30 in the rankings during the latter part of the season gives everybody a chance to compete in a televised event against everyone else in the rankings anyway, although one weekend events are often fraught with potential things that can go wrong.
Your latter idea I have already worked on as a qualifying concept for a short 4/5round national series, to be run as part of IKR club meetings, rather than a standalone series.
The purpose in both ideas I have has to be ".....to support and encourage MORE entries to IKR club level racing throughout the UK".
