We pit next to SkintFather and will be there this weekend. I race (some wouldn't call it racing as I'm not that good!!) in 177. I'm 103KG and about 185 on track, and there is always someone at or around my pace so I have a good race of my own. There are some in the grid that are close to the 162 lights times, so there is a full spectrum of pace. Which means there will always be someone about your pace to race against.

My son races in the 162 Rotax lights and does OK, he'll be running the E plate which he won last month.

He used to race MSA at Fulbeck and elsewhere occasionally, but even as a lad and dad it cost us a mint. He then went to uni and we thought that was it for us and karting. The IKR sprint series has brought karting back to us both now. We wouldn't be racing if it wasn't for this. We are racing for less than what it cost us to race just my lad in MSA. So stress is less as there is less cost involved. But competition is still strong. Best of both worlds.

On your age there was a 60+ year old in 177 at Fulbeck whom put many younger to shame with his mid to front pack pace.
