He suffers the same problem a lot of the rule makers suffer from too, being woefully out of touch with the majority of karting. It's like the floppo droppo bumper, while it may have reduced the issue of loading, its created more in brake testing, people getting podded off and the nose dropping on the grass amongst others, when all that was really needed was firm stewarding. Just abort starts and if needed cancel heats until people get the message. Same for contact driving, black flags until they get it.
What Paul has done with PF cannot be argued, and the place puts some car circuits to shame. Yes the original layout wasn't exactly the most enthralling to drive, but the extension looks to have helped that. But as you say, the circles he moves in has rendered some of what he says vastly outdated.
