No. Just split and rejoin using as much of the chain as you need.
Alternatively once your engine position is fixed, get an old 219 chain and split it. (You can just grind through the links or rivet heads for this).Count the number of links/ rollers.
You then have a 'test' chain. Put the test chain over the two sprockets and use it to check how many links/ rollers longer or shorter your new chain needs to be. Saves getting a splitter and rivetting.
As I understand it you are building a 'drift trike'. The engine to axle distance may be different to a kart needing a different chain length.
In the karting world, the Loncin/ Villiers or Lifan are reckoned to be the best of the clones, but if you have good reports on the Launtop then fair enough.
