Problem is for many its all about image. 4 strokes and non-branded tyres are perceived as not being the best image to portray. Never mind consistency, grid competitiveness and value for money. I see no reason why at Cadet level in particular these Duro tyres shouldn't be used and mandated that whatever series you race in you have one set marked round 1 and you use that for the entire season. Talk about a level playing field!
And for those making the decisions, its usually about £££. Thats why when KZ1 at Super 1 were forced to use Bridgestone even though everyone said they were awful the grids disappeared. Look at Super 4 this year though and grids are nearly at a point where B Finals are required.
Admittedly its different at Cadet level because it appears everyone involved has a bit of a masochistic streak where they'll do it regardless of cost / effectiveness / competitiveness but the point remains. If you listen to your customers, more people will turn up
