S1 entry costs, why so much??

Looking at the costs of S1 I was wondering why the entry fees etc are so so so much more than club?? If you take the average club round of around Ł50 for 3 heads and a final, the S1 entry's are closer to Ł190 for 2 heats and two finals

Also the average club is Ł50 to join for the year where you get 8 to 10 rounds, but S1 is Ł155 for 7 rounds??

Just wonder how the much higher costs are calculated and or justified??

S1 looks to have large entries so it's not hurting it, but it does seem to be very very costly compared to other races, unless there are much larger running fees involved with the championship, msa fees, insurances etc???

No slagging off S1 please, just wonder why it costs so much to enter??
