The officials struggle to police the corner properly in the past . An example was that my son lead a Honda cadet race from lights to flag about 2 years ago with a train of 3 he was being pushed through the last corner by the other 2 drivers and all 3 ran wide on occasions at the end of the race my son got excluded the other 2 got nothing.
The problem is the kerb on the inside of the last corner is now non existent, it used to be a kerb to avoid but now they all drive over it as fast as possible as if not there and carry amazing speed onto the concrete but run very close to the tyres.
In my opinion that inside kerb needs putting back to be a big kerb which drivers have to avoid this would help slow the entry speed to the last corner. Also paint a white line on the outside of the last corner down to the start finish line.
If you put 2 wheels over the line you get a warning do it twice final warning a 3rd and you are excluded. If you put all 4 wheels over the line it's a straight exclusion.
Unfortunately if they make the rumble strip bigger there would be more bad accidents as drivers who ran over it would loose control and hit the tyres very hard.
The problem is still how to police it as one person isn't capable of monitoring 34 karts all at the same time in the blink of an eye. I don't envy the clubs job in trying to resolve these issues but every year at this time the same questions get asked about the last corner.
