There is a clip of a cadet race at PFI with Lewis Hamilton in it. Places were chopping and changing every lap and almost every corner without a hit of any contact, awesome race to watch even on grainy old footage. How cadet driving and other formula driving has degenerated in the last 20 years. Biggest note is LH didn't have stupid drop down bumper and didn't need them, that's just how they raced and if they didn't officials made decisions 9even if they were wrong sometimes - at least they made decisions) and penalties were laid out. We don't need drop down bumpers, we don't need electronic detection of contact. We just need enough well supported and respected officials whom can make decisions without fear of reprisal. reffing in football is shocking how players badger the ref. You don't see it in Rugby - ref.s make decisions which are communicated clearly to players and are not questioned. Need the same in karting at all levels. It's not rocket science!!
