No idea if this would help but when I first started my dad would stand at the side of the track at the biggest braking point on the circuit.

He would begin standing at where I was initially braking and then each lap he would take a step closer to the corner and I would have to brake at where he was stood. He would keep moving closer until I ended up spinning! But it taught me how much later I could brake compared to how I was initially.
