A driver might be aware that some type of contact could occur on track, accidental or deliberate, but they would and should expect to drive to the park ferme unmolested.

'but to say after the flag is not expected could be seen as meaning before is expected.'

Only if you want it to sound like that but I didn't say that, you did.

You say the club will fail if it continues as is, but let me ask you who actually controls the meeting?

Who is the body who decide on the rules and the consequences?

Tell me what influence the club has on a race day over the running of the meeting?

The club get the blame but in all cases the club will be innocent as they cannot influence the day's proceedings, they do the entries, the grids, the pit bays, the programmes, clear up and take the very $hite you talk about.

IF the club was IKR and had carte blanche to control proceedings and mete out punishment without the cheque books, lawyers and court threats, your protestations would be dealt with at source.

Each track has its own unique entity and should be able to deal with its customers as it uniquely feels fit. Try the same type of shenanigans that go on at a kart track at an independent golf club and see where you end up.

That way you either thrive or fail, as the customer will spend his money where he feels he gets value and satisfaction.

You hardly ever hear complaints from IKR meetings or series, that must tell you something.
