Sorry guys, but they're commonly used in bike racing, and it's well proven they save a small amount of time, and there's no reason why it wouldn't in a kart. Most work on a pressure switch to cut ignition for the minimum time to allow the next gear to go in. They're banned in KZ2, which is a good thing as it'd just add another Ł300 to Ł500 onto the price for no extra enjoyment.
