richydehav has good advice.

We once tried to remove the plate to refix on an OTK chassis, but found the 'rivet' to be some form of fusion welded stud, possible even a puddle weld in a hole in the plate then painted over at the factory, so short of drilling / grinding it out completely it was very difficult to remove, we didn't bother and protected it with the half rubber pipe lock wired on.
