i think we need to remember a certain A Senna never looked too chipper unless he won or got pole and also made daft errors (leading monaco by a country mile and throwing at the barriers) yet still fondly remembered. mansell too earned himself a "king of the whingers" title within the sport, made his share of silly mistakes (remember switching it off while leading on his last lap?) yet is held in huge affection; nigel wrapped himself in the union flag, even his helmet design. however, after lewis lapped with the flag in abu dhabi, the comments were "if your gonna do that sort of thing, then come back from monaco and pay your taxes". unbelievable.yes, hamilton may appear lucky. however he started on a stevenage housing estate; not the son of a millionaire former world champion...........bit of a leg up that one. i agree about ricciardo, however that demeanour is easy on the way up, bringing a less than adequate car home to victory or podium as a rookie. we'll see what happens when expectations are higher and there is a lot more pressure upon his shoulders
