Except that we have to remember that Clay does have cameras on the track.

The reason they don't get used is that they present biased evidence, they can naturally only present one view of the incident and that usually is not helpful. As we have seen with Formula 1, you need around 20 cameras, including at least one airborne and datalogging to determine whether an incident was deliberate, avoidable driver error, mechanical failure etc.

If you ask the clerks ( and I have) the answer is that video evidence is not reliable and secondly too many people will trawl through the video looking for the one shot that will favour their version of events, or simply so that they can raise an objection in order to forward their drivers' placement. The meeting simply isn't long enough to deal with all the possibilities.
