My lad enjoys the social side of karting probably more than the racing. I also think that it's great to see all the kids together having a laugh, they'll remember this long after the kart has been sold.

Keep it fun. Your son probably enjoys racing with his mates and then hanging out with them all afterwards sharing stories.

My concern would be if you move up and he stops having as much fun, slowly you could end up giving up altogether.
