It MUST have a coil. That's where your spark plug is attached to.

It may well be controlled by an ECU, but you need a coil to produce the spark voltage.

The ECU would probably have its own rev limiter built into it so be careful about adding circuitry that may render the ECU defunct.

Different ECU packs may be available, like the Iame X30.
