Its personal to the driver.

If you ask any health professional whether it is better to wear a neck brace or not, I am sure they would say wearing one is the better option.

If you look at the tests carried out they were NOT for Motocross. In fact they were tests showing the results of impacts on necks.

Anyway its my personal preference so my 11 year old will continue to wear one

So Bunny44. They are not compulsory but some like me think they help in an accident, some think they dont.

Its down to personal choice

Whatever you choose I hope we see you at a cicuit soon and your lad stays safe
